What is craniosacral therapy?
Craniosacral therapy is a manual therapy that facilitates the body’s own natural capacity for health and wellbeing.
The craniosacral system is, next to the visceral and parietal, a part of osteopathy. It emerged of osteopathic medical tradition. Osteopathy was developed by Andrew Taylor Still MD.
The main beliefs of Dr. Still is based on principles:
- Structure and Function are interrelated.
- The Body is a Unit.
- The Body is a Self-Correcting Mechanism.
It has an influence on structural and physiological systems to attain health.

How does it work
It works on the craniosacral system which consists of bones, soft tissue, nerves, vessels and fluid that surround
and nurture the brain and spinal cord. All the structures are in interrelation to each other.
Cranial bones
The shape of the structure supports its function.
Central nervous system
The brain and spinal cord have motion.
Vein and artery in the body
The circulatory system serves all the other systems in the body.
